Pass R155 Buyer Audits Without a Cert: A Supplier Playbook

How buyers run the review

Top risks and controls

R1: Unsafe mode via CAN. Controls: IDPS on gateway, allowlist at converter, timing checks, HIL tests for abuse frames.
R2: Image rollback. Controls: Anti-rollback counter, image monotonicity in secure storage, test for forced downgrade.
R3: Debug readout. Controls: Production fuse set, no-debug build flag, acceptance test reads status and fails on "unlocked".

Update package monotonicity verified on device.
Key-use log reviewed by a second person.

Gate checklist signed with date and name.
Known issues listed with owner and due date.
Deployment plan with canary steps and stop-loss rule.
